Mads Tygesen

I am Mads and I study Mechanical Engineering at Aalborg University on the 4th semester. In my free time, I am the leader of the of the Vehicle Integration department. I am responsible for the design and production of the bodywork and the driver contact points. When I’m not doing that, I help with the machining of other parts for the other departments.

AAU Racing is a very nice way to gain practical experience in an otherwise theoretical curriculum. You learn lots of skills that aren’t part of the of your normal studies. You encounter problems which aren’t immediately obvious at first sight, and then you solve them. You expand your communication skills, as you’re now part of a much bigger team and coordination becomes significantly more important.
